About me

Hi, my name is Alan, I like to travel and discover the new “unknown” – exactly like most of you – just like you dear reader. What I would like to point out, however, is that with me, travel has different facets. A journey does not always require money, time or even moving around. Ba, sometimes a journey can be made in five minutes, by closing your eyes and transporting yourself in your imagination to the ‘unknown’. Why am I writing about this? Because I want to inspire you to appreciate every second of our lives, which not only can be, but is a daily exploration of the unknown.

If you are one of the lucky ones who don’t have to sell the proverbial ‘fridge’ to go somewhere, then appreciate and celebrate every moment and every person you meet along the way. This was supposed to be about me, so if I’ve piqued your interest even a little bit dear traveller what else can you know about me:

• I’m an incorrigible optimist, and I’d rather not certify complaining on this blog :).
• I smile everywhere and to everyone, because I never know who I can help with that (and nothing annoys the enemy more :D).
• My biggest trips have been done without moving from my seat (I recommend a blanket on the grass).
• I believe the essence of travelling is experiencing – literally and figuratively.
• Another thing I put at the forefront of my personality is the desire to cover, explore, understand and keep learning. More and more I know, how much I don’t know 🙂
• I would like to try everything in life that doesn’t hurt anyone else, to have my own opinion.
• Until I was 19, I had never travelled abroad.
